TrendMetric is operated by ECOM ALPHA SOLUTIONS LLC. This policy covers the website, accounts (Supabase Auth), workspace data, and SquidLane payments. Last Updated: September 10, 2026.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy describes how ECOM ALPHA SOLUTIONS LLC (“we,” “us”) handles personal information for the TrendMetric product and website at TrendMetric.io (https://trendmetric.io). TrendMetric is operated by ECOM ALPHA SOLUTIONS LLC. TrendMetric is the product and brand name. This policy applies when you visit the site, create an account, subscribe, or use the research workspace. Checkout and payment processing are provided by SquidLane. ECOM ALPHA SOLUTIONS LLC is the seller of TrendMetric subscriptions. SquidLane processes payment and billing data on our behalf. This policy does not replace any privacy notice SquidLane presents at checkout.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication. When you register we collect your email address and any name you provide. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth. We store a user identifier so the workspace can load your session and paid access. Account emails such as signup confirmation and password reset are sent by Supabase Auth. We do not operate a promotional marketing-email list. Profile. In Settings you may save a display name and upload a profile photo. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Workspace. If you use Tracked, Projects, or Settings, we store research state tied to your account: tracked products and markets, project names, notes, country choices, product and market IDs you attach, notification preference toggles, and an optional notification email. That notification email is a single delivery address (it replaces, and does not add to, your account email). If you opt in, we may send transactional emails about meaningful Tracked product changes, meaningful Tracked market changes, and a weekly Tracked digest. We keep a send log so the same alert is not emailed twice. Billing. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business) are billed in USD on monthly, quarterly, or annual cycles. Checkout, invoices, tax collection, receipts, saved payment methods, and subscription management are handled through SquidLane. We receive entitlement fields needed to provide access (plan, billing period, status, amounts, and period dates). We do not store full card numbers on TrendMetric servers. Technical information. We collect standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) to operate, secure, and debug the service. For eligible regional checkout pricing we may read a country code supplied by our hosting platform’s request headers. Catalog country pickers are research filters, not billing location.
3. Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies and similar storage that are required to sign you in and keep a session with Supabase Auth. We may also use cookies or local storage to restore workspace filters or an unauthenticated research session until you sign in. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell browsing profiles to ad networks. SquidLane checkout may set its own cookies on checkout pages it hosts. Those cookies are governed by SquidLane. You can block cookies in your browser. If you block authentication cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to create and secure accounts, provide the research catalog and workspace, restore paid access after SquidLane confirms payment, remember Tracked, Projects, and settings, apply regional checkout quotes where a hosting-platform country header is present, prevent abuse and unreasonable extraction of catalog data, diagnose outages, send transactional messages about the account (for example signup confirmation or password reset), and send the optional Tracked update emails you enable in Settings. We do not sell personal information.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us operate TrendMetric: • Supabase Auth — account authentication, sessions, and account emails. • Supabase database — account, workspace, and entitlement records. • Supabase Storage — profile photos. • SquidLane — payments, subscriptions, tax, receipts, and billing portal. SquidLane processes payments for TrendMetric. • Resend — optional Tracked product, Tracked market, and weekly digest emails when you opt in. • Website hosting — to serve TrendMetric.io. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service or other users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets involving ECOM ALPHA SOLUTIONS LLC or the TrendMetric product. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Catalog and research data
TrendMetric shows stored market-research data (search-demand history, derived scores such as VolumeScore™ and MarketScore™, market snapshots, and modeled estimated revenue ranges). That catalog is research content, not your personal information. Your Tracked lists, Projects, notes, notification email preference, and profile photo are workspace or account data and are treated as described in this policy. VolumeScore™, MarketScore™, trend labels, forecasts, and estimated revenue are informational research signals. They are not financial, inventory, or advertising advice.
7. Retention
We keep account and workspace data while the account is active. If you close the account, we delete or de-identify personal account data within a reasonable period unless we must retain it for security, billing disputes, or legal obligations. Payment records may be retained by SquidLane under SquidLane’s own policy. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted transport, access-controlled databases, and session cookies) to protect accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential.
9. International visitors
TrendMetric.io may be hosted and accessed from more than one country. If you use the product from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers (including Supabase, SquidLane, and Resend) operate.
10. Your choices
You may update profile fields available in Settings, change your notification email preference, turn Get Updates on or off, unsubscribe from a TrendMetric email using the link in that message, cancel a subscription through the manage-subscription control in Settings or by emailing support@trendmetric.io, and request access or deletion of personal account data by emailing privacy@trendmetric.io. We may need to verify the request. Some records (for example, processed payments held by SquidLane) cannot be fully erased where the law requires retention. Depending on your location you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.
11. Children
TrendMetric is a business research product. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of TrendMetric.io after an update means you accept the revised policy.
